Some days are meant for stillness,
Some are meant for play,
Some are simply lonely days
In need of chasing our clouds away.
Some days are meant for loving,
Some are full of tears,
Some are merely courageous days
Where we cast off all our fears.
Some days are meant for rushing,
Some are slow and steady,
Some are simply reflective days
Awaiting the moment we're ready.
Pull the thread
That holds it all together;
Tug at the loose ends
Until it's all tattered.
Unravel it all out,
Until there's nothing
left of you,
But to be able to submit
To the higher calling
Upon your heart.
Strands of energy,
Feeding through the construct
Of the world,
With connection anew,
Through the needle pull;
Eyes feeding upon
The nothingness
That is really the essence
Of the base,
The fabric,
Of all that is and was.

Falling into
The same routines,
Patterns of coming full circle,
Can't break away
From the disarray
Of clutter within the mind,
Blocking out the divine
With its tumultuous din.
Drunken records
Scratching at the door,
Skipping in tune
To "what is it for?"
Can't see the bottom
Of the bottle,
Knowing not what
Or how to chase the goal.
But, that's the beauty,
Of you, of me --
You don't have to follow,
Or to see--
Keep trailing down
The same old path,
Is it so bad?
Who knows,
Could be the best time
You've ever had --
But reality always sets in
And I'm not settling...
Please show me
Where a better life begins.
