I am

I am damaged.
I come from a past of divorce and poverty
But I do not let that control my fate.
I am a survivor.

I am beautiful.
I come from growing too fast and being "bigger" than my peers
But I do not let that define me.
I am a force.

I am strong.
I come from a teen age pregnancy and alcoholic induced beatings
But I do not let that harden me.
I am a lover.

I am dynamic.
I come from good manners, hugs and sharing smiles.
But I do not give excuses to waste them.
I am a student.

I am observant.
I come from high expectations of learning to speak and write well
But I do not surpass thinking things through.
I am a leader.

I am confident.
I come from facing your fears and "you just need to try"
But I do not know only one way to get there.
I am a thinker.

I am thankful.
I come from hard work and using the talents you've been given
But I do not let others dictate my work.
I am a warrior.

I am contagious.
I come from inspiration, ideas and carrying it through
But I do not neglect including others.
I am a teacher.

I am rich.
I come from learning your lessons and whom to trust
But I don't let that feed into my circle. 
I am a friend.

Star dust

Make sure that the path you choose
Comes from your heart
And its desire to be happier, brighter,
Otherwise you'll walk it with regrets
And resentments.
Be a harvester of pure energy
And place the negative within a jar
To be released into the nether
With the fireflies and shooting stars.
They will absorb it and place
The goodness into the eyes of a child.
Be that child who is not dictated by what is wrong,
For their eyes have not witnessed pain.

I follow your lead

I follow your lead
My feet know the beat
Vibrations pick up speed
Body feels the heat

You guide my limbs through
The tune hummed all day
Multi steps made by you
Are peaceful in my hip's sway

The tempo with its changes
A constant harmony and bend
Leads me around in stages
I pray will never end

Rhythm and soul in essence pour
Escaping the dimension of sound
Every move of the world's floor
Body's dancing above the ground

No expectations.
Only good energy and a fabulous experience. ..
Breathe in,  breathe out.
Be one with the moment.
Embrace the oneness of soul that transitions between your essence and the rest of the world that encircles you.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Send out intentions that speak volumes and being forth only bliss.
Be at one with the outer core of your shell and hold the ego submerged beneath the sinew.

Feel wonder and awe with all you've created and embrace the community that you've been a part of building.

The future is unwritten and so it shall pass away into yesterday before you know.
Leave today wondering like a child, as that will be your namesake: that beauty and truth shall follow you all the days of your life.

Turn them to stone

There is a very fine line between crazy and passionate.
I have built an acceptance of both.
Reality as a whole teeters that line.
A soul that strives to bring and share beauty,
Not getting hung up on the snags of life,
But evaluating them from the lessons they teach.
The keeper of time is not wasted on many, I value myself in completeness and complexity with love.
A force of nature, I weave the tapestries,  like a chameleon that changes its color to fit is mood.
The Web of silken thread spread in the sand,
Sitting on the rock and wailing to the ships that come into my shores but never are brave enough to stammer even a greeting of adornment.
No, they shall never touch this priestess in her glimmering mist.
Turn them to stone. For,  within the eyes and beneath the wake, hidden are the sorrows of the world, told between the lock and key.
So unintelligible the working drones that have fallen, with their only reward for their labor,  to breathe the air that surrounds and, suffocating, ushers them to their grave.

I am the wind that sweeps through the grass,  yet barely makes a stir.
I am the Halo around the moon that only shows itself when the timing is right.
I am the seed that finds a way to grow,  under even the harshest circumstances.
I am the night song that murmurs on, long after the sun has sunk beneath the horizon.
I am the heart of a child's love,  yet hold the wisdom of ancient days gone by.
I am one with the Symphony of existence.

Mending

This heart's been broken
a hundred times before
So what's another scar
to add up to the score?
Pick up the pieces,
don another smile
Cover up with a mask
till it stops hurting for awhile.
Build up the callous
keep pushing on
Have to learn the way
to somehow be strong
The heart keeps beating,
pulse show that it's stable,
Whisper to the heart
That love is a simple fable
Long after, it's mended
with the finest of thread
God picks up the heart
and lifts up the head.
