Oh, what joys

Oh, what joys await us
On the other side of tomorrow,
What things left unseen
Until the moment of occurrence,
The daybreak of the thought,
The split second demanding
Upon our being
That sets the whole world ablaze
With serendipity,
For when our voice meets with our heart,
No where can be sought out
To be sanctioned away from happiness
And no burden could have been foreseen
And forgotten upon the edge
Of that split second meeting
With our fate.
We can only set the moments
Into thought and pray
That our lonely hearts are wishing
For the eternal captivity
Of open hearts and minds
That lead us toward that joy,
That inexplicable fantasy,
That only we can imagine in our dreams
And reach in our reality.
All else is someone else's screen play.
We are that sole survivor
Of tomorrow's unseen prophesy.
Do not let go of tomorrow,
But choose to be happy.

Who knows

Who knows what the stars will hold
For those who strive toward
The desires of their heart.
If they do not heed the call upon it,
Their bodies will decompose
Under the pressure of mediocrity.
Their eyes, sunken with lost time,
Marching forward into the abyss,
Without having tasted the longing
That pulls at the strings..

Do what gives you joy
And leave everything else behind,
For the time is ticking...
And all your dreams with it.

I am

I am damaged.
I come from a past of divorce and poverty
But I do not let that control my fate.
I am a survivor.

I am beautiful.
I come from growing too fast and being "bigger" than my peers
But I do not let that define me.
I am a force.

I am strong.
I come from a teen age pregnancy and alcoholic induced beatings
But I do not let that harden me.
I am a lover.

I am dynamic.
I come from good manners, hugs and sharing smiles.
But I do not give excuses to waste them.
I am a student.

I am observant.
I come from high expectations of learning to speak and write well
But I do not surpass thinking things through.
I am a leader.

I am confident.
I come from facing your fears and "you just need to try"
But I do not know only one way to get there.
I am a thinker.

I am thankful.
I come from hard work and using the talents you've been given
But I do not let others dictate my work.
I am a warrior.

I am contagious.
I come from inspiration, ideas and carrying it through
But I do not neglect including others.
I am a teacher.

I am rich.
I come from learning your lessons and whom to trust
But I don't let that feed into my circle.
I am a friend.

Star dust

Make sure that the path you choose
Comes from your heart
And its desire to be happier, brighter,
Otherwise you'll walk it with regrets
And resentments.
Be a harvester of pure energy
And place the negative within a jar
To be released into the nether
With the fireflies and shooting stars.
They will absorb it and place
The goodness into the eyes of a child.
Be that child who is not dictated by what is wrong,
For their eyes have not witnessed pain.
